Global Alumni Events: Dubai
Development Director and Fellow Rowan Kitt visited Dubai with the President in December 2022 for the first Queens' event in the UAE.
As part of the Queens' Global initiative, Development Director and Fellow Rowan Kitt arranged a visit to Dubai at short notice in order to hold the inaugural Queens' alumni event in the UAE. The event was kindly hosted by Sara Boomsma (2007), and a WhatsApp group was formed for those present to remain in touch with each other.
The President, Dr Mohamed El-Erian, attended the event at Flair 5 in The Ritz-Carlton Dubai to speak to alumni about the challenges facing the College post-pandemic, and some of the recent news and developments from Queens'.
During his visit, Rowan was also generously invited to the home of Zaki Nusseibeh (1964), the Cultural Advisor to the President of the UAE, for lunch. Many thanks to all those who made this trip possible and who attended the event in Dubai - we are looking forward to the next one in the future.
